Benjamin Miller, son of April & Brett Miller of St. Petersburg will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10am. Benjamin is a 7th grade student at Shorecrest Preparatory. He is pictured here in his infamous pink tuxedo, during the Middle School Awards Ceremony, where he received the "Spark" award for bringing joy, humor, creativity and a unique spark to the 6th grade class. He also received a medal for earning straight A's for all 3 trimesters. Benjamin is a good-natured and fun-loving friend, family member and school community and religious community member. Judaism is an important part of his life, and he is diligently preparing for this Bar Mitzvah with his beloved tutor, Raida Goldman. His love of Jewish learning has also been fostered by his Sunday School teacher, Steve Hurwitz. For his B'nai Mitzvah project he decided to share his lifelong love of Legos by donating his collection to the Lego company to be passed onto underserved children. We are so proud of our "Menachem Chaim," for sharing his life of comfort with others. The Miller Family will host a reception at the St. Petersburg Museum of History on Saturday, May 6 in the evening. Special guests include local friends as well as friends and family from out-of-town.
