The Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast has purchased a block of tickets in the Orchestra for Funny Girl at the Straz Center’s Carol Morsani Hall (1010 N Macinnes Pl, Tampa, FL 33602) on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at 2PM. Tickets are $90 per person if purchased by October 9th (partially subsidized by the Federation as a Chanukah gift to our community). The event will also feature a community conversation and reception after the performance, more details TBA.
Featuring one of the greatest musical scores of all time, including classic songs “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star,” and “People,” this love letter to the theatre is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she’d never be a star, but then something funny happened—she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.
In order to foster inclusivity and accessibility for the Jewish Community throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast, the Federation will be joining forces with local synagogues and organizations on a range of events in the upcoming year.
