Marketing & Communications Associate
 

Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast

 

The Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast is a mission-driven nonprofit organization that strives to ensure the continuity of Jewish life and culture locally, in Israel and around the world. Our Federation builds and strengthens the Jewish community in Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties.

 

We raise approximately $1.4 million annually in donations from individuals, families, corporations and grant makers in order to fund an expanding array of services and programs. The Federation is part of the larger Jewish Federations of North America network and is formerly known as the Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties (2019).

 

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Associate to join our small (but mighty!) team in Largo, Florida. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Marketing & Graphic Design:

  • Manage website, Community Calendar and Volunteer Central
  • Write and send out weekly Enewsletter (Constant Contact)
  • Serve as primary in-house graphic designer 
  • Manage outside vendors for photography and video projects 

 

Communications:

  • Manage all social media accounts and pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Draft, edit and send out press releases regarding events, news and Federation updates
  • Manage timeline and deadlines for submitting materials to the Jewish Press of Pinellas
  • Attend monthly board of directors meetings and take minutes as requested
  • Draft board reports for monthly meetings
  • Handle all board communications at the discretion of the executive director 
  • Assist executive director at special meetings and events (take notes, provide support, draft talking points)
  • Coordinate all office meetings and functions 
  • Assist with mass mailings and campaign/fundraising efforts

 

Community Engagement:

  • Build personal and working relationships with members of the community
  • Attend and work at Federation events as requested
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC)
  • Inform community of Israel and other national & international updates

 

Skills:

  • Writing and editing (AP Style)
  • Graphic Design (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva)
  • Website maintenance and development
  • Experience with Zoom and basic technical skills

 

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of Jewish culture, customs and traditions
  • Additional marketing skills and capabilities
  • Google Analytics knowledge 
  • Grant writing experience

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $37,000 - $42,000 per year
