Fiona Joy Gootson, daughter of Matthew & Elana Gootson of Seminole, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, March 18 at Temple Beth-El. A 10th grade student at St. Pete Collegiate High School, she is a singer/songwriter and guitar player who has been featured on the folk show on Sunshine 96.7 Radio, St. Pete as well as Writers in the Round at 7C's Music. Fiona represented her class on homecoming court and has also appeared as Becky Sloan in the film "The Kid Who Only Hit Homers which can be seen on Amazon Prime Video. Her mitzvah project includes sharing her music with seniors at local assisted living and nursing facilities. Matt and Elana Gootson will host a Rock and Roll evening at Temple Beth-El on Saturday, March 18. Special guests will include grandparents and other relatives from Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and California.

Evan Charles Gootson, son of Matthew & Elana Gootson of Seminole, will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, March 18 at Temple Beth-El. A 7th grade student at Walden Middle School, he is an honor student who initiated and led his classmates in a drive for Ukrainian Relief for his mitzvah project. Evan also volunteers at the St. Pete Free Clinic food bank. He is an avid drum player and member of the Performance Band at the School of Rock, and also enjoys playing tennis. Matt and Elana Gootson will host a Rock and Roll evening at Temple Beth-El on Saturday, March 18. Special guests will include grandparents and other relatives from Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and California.
