Why is it that two people can face the exact same set of circumstances, and yet have completely different responses? The answer may have to do with attitude and resilience. Resilience is not genetic; rather it is something that you can learn. Steven Southwick, Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, and author of the book, Resilience: The Science of Mastering Life’s Greatest Changes, and co-author Dennis Charney, Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, have identified a number of factors shared by people who have the ability to bounce back most effectively from life’s disappointments – not just once, but over and over. In this session you will discover simple, effective ways for you to be more resilient as well.

Facilitated by Robyn Winters, TBJL Career Strategist

WHAT IS LINKS:  LINKS is an acronym for Leads, Information, Networking, Know-how, and Strategies. For the unemployed professional, LINKS is a “place to go” to focus on the job search when others go to work on Monday Mornings. LINKS sessions are free and open to the public.
