The Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast is pleased to present November’s Sociable Singles (60+) meeting, which will feature a conversation with local author, playwright, and actress Natalie Symons. Natalie will be discussing her recently published novel Lies in Bone. Registration is required, visit JewishGulfCoast.org/SSNovember. Registered attendees will be sent an individualized Zoom link for the meeting taking place on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at 7PM.


Natalie Symons is a playwright, actress, and novelist. Her plays have been developed and produced at theatres around the world, including freeFall Theatre, ACT Theatre, Aurora Theatre, American Stage, New American Theatre, Theater Schmeater, Florida Studio Theatre, Bridge Street Theatre, Theatre22, Amas Musical Theatre, New Century Theatre, and Urbanite Theatre. Some of her accolades include: 21st Century Voices New Play Festival, Ashland New Play Festival’s Play4Keeps, ACT/Theatre22 Construction Zone New Works Festival, Palm Beach Dramaworks’ Dramaworkshop Prize, Bridge Initiative Women in Theatre Playwright of the Year Award finalist, Hope and Optimism (University of Notre Dame and Cornell University) finalist, Creative Loafing Critics’ Choice Award ‘Best Playwright,’ Broadway World, ‘Best Play’ for The Buffalo Kings and ‘Best Original Script of the Decade’ for The People Downstairs. The Sociable Singles (60+) group is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast. The monthly meetings have included speakers such as Dr. Craig Klein, Shana Tibi, and Bruce Hadburg. The group has also met in person at The Nosh Pit, Grillsmith, and Rumba’s Island Grill, and has participated in virtual experiences such as the Israeli Cooking Class for Rosh Hashana with Michael Solomonov, and a virtual comedy show, ‘Knock Knock… Jews There?’ Meetings occur on the 1st Wednesday of every month.
