Schmaltz & Pepper are bringing a fresh take on Yiddish music to the Central Park Performing Arts Center on Friday, January 2, at 8pm. With a virtuosic sound that blends classical Yiddish mastery, klezmer, jazz, and European folk influences, the ensemble is redefining the boundaries of the genre.
The group features an impressive lineup of Grammy and Juno-nominated musicians: Eric Abramovitz, Drew Jurecka, Rebekah Wolkstein, Michael Herring, and Jeremy Ledbetter. These artists, each celebrated for individual brilliance, have come together to create soulful, innovative arrangements that honor tradition while charting new creative paths.
